Artist Biography - Lisa England
I am a self taught artist, currently living in Northfleet, Kent, UK.
I enjoy experimenting with different media and ideas as shown in the diversity of my artwork. Acrylic painting, charcoal, pastel, photography, light art and sculpture.
When I became pregnant I gave up sculpture due to the toxic chemicals involved and made the decision to move onto other forms of art that were more child friendly.
Presently I am concentrating on figurative and portrait style art and am enjoying developing my skills with acrylic paints. I like to work in quite a realistic and detailed manner and put careful thought into composition and lighting with black and white imagery being my preferred style at present.
I still feel as if I have yet to realize my potential as an artist and with my son now beginning nursery I am looking forward to developing my painting and drawing skills further.
